When Eli Ostrow met Wendy, an American Bulldog, at Memphis Animal Services it was the perfect match. “All the other dogs at the shelter just barked at me, but she came up, kissed my hand and then acted super playful,” he said. Memphis Animal Services was his f irst choice, “because they are a great organization, and I’d been following them on Instagram,” he said. Wendy’s name came to him when he stopped to grab a burger on his way home from the shelter. Wendy is a survivor of heart worms. “When I first adopted her, she weighed 29 pounds and was nothing but bones,” said Eli. “Her transformation has been unreal.”
Most Love
She is super loving, sweet and protective. My favorite physical features are her giant elephant-like ears.
Pet Peeve
It’s adorable and annoying but she has to roll around in grass every five minutes on a walk or she acts mad.
Treats
Once a week Eli scrambles eggs for Wendy. And of course, she loves the cow bones from Hollywood Feed!
